Fernbank Science Center Astronomy Day: Chasing the Moon

review "Chasing the Moon" a PBS documentary that thoroughly re-imagines the race to the moon for a new generation, upending much of the conventional mythology surrounding the effort. Utilizing a visual feast of previously overlooked and lost archival material, much of which has never before been seen by the public, the film features a diverse cast of characters who played key roles in these historic events.In addition, a cast member of the PBS series Ready Jet Go! will be joining us and will present a special episode at 1:00 p.m. There will be hands-on activities in our exhibit hall from 11:00 AM until 4:00 PM. Food trucks will be on-site from 11:00 AM until 3:00 PM. Members of the Atlanta Astronomy Club will be present to answer your telescope questions and do some solar observing. Members of the Meteorite Association of Georgia will be present to show off space rocks.
